Last night saw Knight, Perry and McGhee at the Greyhound Stadium in Hove to answer questions put to them by the fans. It was expected that more fans would attend, however despite the low numbers, the night turned out to be very interesting for everyone who had questions to put forward.

Some points of interest which came out of the meeting was the amount that we made out of the Playoff Final, which was around £400,000. After paying the Football League £37,000 for the fireworks, as well a nice set of bonuses to the players for their excellent performance, the payment was slightly lower!

Falmer was also a big talking point, and numerous questions were asked about the building of the stadium. Perry says that if we get the go ahead, building is hoped to start within the year, however grants and sponsorship will have to be in place beforehand. Hopefully this will not take too long once we get permission, however no other information on this was given. The enquiry is due to reopen on 11th February, and could last for up to three weeks. If there is an election in May, this will only give Prescott 10 days to make the decision. The club will be aiming to get the decision before then, however if not, the club will 'examine the options'. If it does go to Judicial Review, whichever party is pushing it will have to pay all the costs.

They were also pleased by the amount of money that has been raised by fans of the club so far - the total figure now stands at around £150,000 but more is still needed, especially with the enquiry about to reopen. Currently, 800 people have helped. Regarding the Wickes issue, the FL are happy with out decision not to host the advertising banners, however every other club in the league will receive the money. The tax man is also getting desperate for his £360,000 owed to him due to the sale of the Goldstone.

McGhee was also happy to talk through how he had built up the squad during his time at the club, and information about current injured players was also given. Butters will be back into training on Friday, while Roberts is expected to start back within two weeks. Danny Cullip is currently making good progress. The rumors about Rodger have also been confirmed, and he has now retired. The players have been working hard on physique as well as tactics for the current season. It was announced that they are interested in players from Southampton, however with their current injury situation, no one is currently expected. Adam Virgo will continue in his current position, and hopefully get us some more goals...!
