Hull
are one of the new boys on the block - gaining promotion
from League One after finishing second with 86 points.
However, this does show and their start to the
Championship has seem them draw two and lose one.
However, compared with ourselves who have also lost one
and drawn two, they are not doing bad...
Tomorrow, Peter Taylor will be taking on
his old team - however in a statement on Hull City's
website he says he has doubts about some of his players
fitness. From the first three games in the Championship,
they have already picked up four injuries, however he
could be without up to six players from the team.
The BBC Reports that "Steve McPhee, Keith
Andrews and Leon Cort are all doubtful with injuries,
while Mark Lynch, Alton Thelwell and Robbie Stockdale
are definitely out."
Meanwhile, the Brighon reserves had an
impressive 6-1 win over Woking during the week, which
saw Turienzo, McCammon and Robinson all score - McGhee
now has to decide if any of these players will start
tomorrow against Hull. Carole is also expected to keep
his place after an impressive start at Crewe.
Hull have only scored one goal from three
games so far - however despite this fans say "I think
we'll surprise a few teams and make the playoffs. We
have a great manager, huge fan base and some brilliant
players. The town deserves Premiership football and I
think we are close to getting it."
Players to watch out for include Stuart
Elliot who scored 27 league goals last season, and Nick
Barmby who scored 9 - and scored the first goal for Hull
this season.
Travel information for fans travelling to
hull is
available here, however the club have asked us to
ensure fans are aware of a number of issues ahead of the
game.
-
Due to problems which you may have
seen reported in the press, Hull have decided to
close some areas of their stadium. Block six of the
Smith and Nephew North Stand is closed. Fans who
have been allocated tickets in this area will be
issued with new seats. Stewards will escort fans to
this section on their arrival.
-
The club is still reporting that
tickets will be available on the day, subject to
availability.
-
The club could have their away
allocation severely cut if fans continue to stand
throughout matches. In a press release issued by the
club yesterday, the club say the Local Authorities
and police will advise clubs to reduce our
allocation unless fans sit down at matches. In our
first game of the season at Derby, 1500 out of 1750
fans stood up continuously throughout the game -
this has been reported to the league by the Derby
Safety Officer.
