What is WAP?
WAP is short for Wireless Application Protocol and is a global and open
standard. WAP enables mobile devices, such as mobile phones or PDAs, to access
specially designed information or services on the Internet.
A WAP enabled device cannot be used to browse the World Wide Web. It can only
access special pages that have been written in the Wireless Markup Language (WML).
What is the 'Flying High' Address?
To access our WAP site on your WAP device just type in the following address:
tagtag.com/bhafc You might want to write it down onto a piece of paper now so you don't forget it,
or you could even type it into your bookmarks!
What happened to the WAP site last season?
Last season was the second season with our new WAP
service provider and it went very well with thousands of hits being registered.
We are now also a member of the Orange Multimedia Wap Guide under sport.
What's on it?
The wap site explains all about this site, gives you the fixtures of ALL the
matches and gives you some of the pages in a shorter version. These include the
Mobile Madness page, Sussex by the sea ring tone and
more.
What's new on it
this season?
This
season we have added a quiz for your to play on while stuck in traffic or
waiting somewhere. We have also added some of the 'matches' section so you can
find the words to all the best Brighton songs and sing along to them at the
matches. Squad information will also be available from the start of the season.
We hope to update the site regularly but if you have any ideas or problems with
it, please e-mail the webmaster using the link below. Thanks
Does the site have colour?
We
are working with a new company to try and get colour images onto the WAP site as
an increasing number of phone available today have colour screens. In fact, 5 in
10 phone sold today have colour screens. We will keep you updated through the
season about the matter, and hope to have it sorted soon so you can all have a
colour Brighton logo on your screen!
