FIRST SIGNING OF THE SEASON IS...

Fans were starting to worry that we would not sign anyone this summer, however this morning the news wire has been alive with news about former Southampton defender Jason Dodd - is he about to sign for The Albion?

 

Dodd was linked with Portsmouth where he had had a successful loan spell earlier in the season, however it now seems that subject to passing a medical, he is actually due to sign a one year deal with ourselves...

 

 

 

 

 

LE HAVRE DETAILS CONFIRMED...

CARLING CUP GAMES HAVE BEEN DRAWN...

It's that time already - time for the Carling Cup draw to be made. At 7am this morning, the results of this draw were announced from the 72 Football League Teams, which this season have been split into Northern and Southern sections. Therefore, we would definitely be playing against one of the Southern Un-seeded Teams...

 

 

 

 

 

REVIEW OF NEXT SEASONS FIXTURES...

Today, the fixtures for next season were released. We had the story online at just 4 minutes past 10 this morning! However, one change has already been made to the schedule, and it is inevitable that many more games will be changed around in the weeks to come. We will keep you up to date, so watch this space!

 

The first game to be amended was the home game against Hull. It was due to be played on Saturday, 17th December, however due to the agreement with the council, the club is unable to host matches on Saturday's in the run up to Christmas. Therefore, after consulting Hull, the game has been moved to Friday, 16th December.

 

 

 

 

SEASON 05-06 FIXTURES RELEASED...

UPDATE 14:34pm - Please note the hull game at home has been moved to Friday, 16th December.

UPDATE 25/06/05 - Please note the QPR game on boxing day has been brought forward to 3:00pm Kick Off.

UPDATE 29/06/05 - Please note the Palace home game has been moved to Sun, 20th November kicking off at 1:30pm. This is due to Sky showing the game live.

The biggest and best Brighton message board is due to a welcome return after disappearing from the Internet just before the end of the season!

 

The message board was regularly using up too much bandwidth, and the company that was hosting it on their servers had finally had enough - they cut NSC off, and left many fans stranded, wondering what to do with all the spare time they had on their hands...

 

 

 

 

 

FIRST GAME OF SEASON TO BE PLAYED AWAY...

The first game of the new season is to be played away, due to 'Brighton Pride 2005'. It’s the biggest and the best Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Trangender Pride Festival in the country attracting more than 100,000 people, according to website 'brightonpride.org'.

 

 

 

 

 

GRONFREVILLE TO HOLD LE HAVRE GAME...

The club have finally confirmed where the game will be played - as we reported at the start of the week, we will be playing at Gonfreville L'Orcher, a short journey from Le Havre. The game will kick off on Saturday, 7th July at 6pm local time (1 hour ahead of BST).

 

The Travel Zone for this game has been updated with the latest information, including maps to help you on your journey...

 

 

 

 

 

LE HAVRE FANS WELCOME BHAFC...

Albion fans could be in for an excellent day out in France next month. The club are due to play their first friendly game against Le Havre on 7th July, however because the pitch at their ground is being re-laid, fans are currently unsure where the game will be held! Early indications expect the game to be played at either Gonfreville, or in green Cavée - we will update travel zone when we know more information...

 

 

 

 

 

NO STADIUM, NO SIGNINGS...

The season ended over a month ago, and despite a number of financial gains the club have so far been unable to attract any new players to the club. However, McGhee believes the failure to make any progress in moving towards a permanent home is affecting the clubs hopes of signing players.

 

"If I was sitting talking to strikers and players this summer going into a 25,000 stadium, then it would be a different kettle of fish," McGhee told the Brighton Argus. "There is no doubt in my mind if we'd had a stadium we would have kept Dan Harding."

 

 

 

 

 
 

HARDING LOOKS SET TO LEAVE...

It has been revealed that Dan Harding could be leaving the Albion by the end of the month. After months without signing a new contract, McGhee has now valued the player at up to £2m.

 

Last month, Dick Knight was refusing to change the terms of Harding's offer for a new contract - it now seems he has signed a three year deal at Elland Road. He was supposed to be on a family holiday in Orlando, however he shortened this returning for a medical.

 

 

 

 

 

PRE SEASON FIXTURES & LE HAVRE TRAVEL...

ALBION WIN COCA COLA COMPETITION...

An amazed Albion yesterday won the Coca Cola Win A Player Competition thanks to loyal fan Aaron Berry of Worthing. He registered for the club every day of the 80 days on the website.

 

The winner of the competition was announced at the start of the Coca Cola Playoff between Preston and West Ham - West Ham went on to win the game from a 57th minute goal by Ex-Brighton player Bobby Zamora!

 

 

CHAMPIONSHIP LINE-UP CONFIRMED...
