On Wednesday, The Argus newspaper reported that McGhee was due to get three new players into the team ready for our trip to Derby. However, with Blayney still absent from the team has McGhee missed out on his Hat Trick ahead of the new season?

Yesterday, Manchester United defender McShane signed for the team, and will today train with the team after travelling to Brighton last night, kick starting his career with The Albion at Pride Park. Although we have only signed his on a loan basis, this is until December.

The 19-year-old spent a month at Walsall last season, and Sir Alex Ferguson approved the loan after returning from his holiday ahead of the new Premiership season which starts next week. McGhee is hoping that McShane will provide cover for Hinshelwood.

Troubles at Southampton have also been hampering the signing of Blayney. With hopes now fading, the club have brought in an experienced French keeper who will play at Derby.

So, two players signed ready for Derby - will McGhee achieve his hat trick before the end of the day?

Sebastian Carole is on trial at the club and made a good impression in his training session earlier in the week. McGhee has however stated that despite his good work so far, it is unopposed.

McGhee is also expected to sign Villa keeper Wayne Henderson on a one month loan deal. After failing to sign him last season due to other commitments at Notts Forest, the club are now trying their luck again! He is expected to be at the club tomorrow for training ahead of new season - starting tomorrow!

Many fans however are worried that this might be too little two late! New players will now have just today to meet and get used to their team mates and their skills - its Derby tomorrow!
