McGhee
was pleased tonight after we won 4-2 against Lewes - however its seems
there is more to it than just a pleasing score! Two trialists took part in
the game - Trinidad International central defender Brent Sanchoz and
Argentinian striker Federico Turienzo both played 70 minutes.
28-Years-Old
Brent has recently been released by relegated Dundee, and it seems that he
could be making a move down south to join the team!
Meanwhile, Turienzo who is only 22, has
recently left Gimnasia La Plata in his homeland to try and make a break
into European football.
After the game, McGhee said "I was pleased
with both of them. We saw what they are both about." However, he went on
to say that he doesn't currently want to talk publicly about the pair. He
finished the interview saying "We saw exactly what kind of players they
are, and now we've got to make decisions."
So, does this mean we could be getting two
more players ready for the start of the season? Word from the club was
that no one else would be signed until the Harding tribunal had been
sorted, however with other clubs snapping up all the players - have they
decided that more signings couldn't wait?
With many questions left unanswered, lets hope
the club make the right decision, and sign players who are going to have
an impact on the rest of the team.
Despite only scoring at Worthing and Lewes, we
have won both games and scored a total of eight goals already! The players
know they have to impress now to get into the team, and McGhee knows he
has to make the right decision when the new season starts in just a couple
of weeks time...
