Yesterday we reported that Virgo was on his way to Celtic. This has now been confirmed, and Adam is said to be stunned after the shock move. He has only been able to dream of what is to come, never imagining he would be playing for his heroes!

"The manager spoke to me to tell me that the club had accepted an offer, and he tried to make me guess the club," Virgo explained.

"I named a few Championship clubs, but when he told me it was Celtic my jaw hit the floor; it was amazing."

Although Virgo played a very important role in our promotion to The Championship, and throughout last season keeping us in the league, the fans are pleased that he is happy with the move.

But what do the Celtic fans think? Virgo is not a well known player in Scotland, however many are willing to give him the opportunity for him to prove himself.

From the interviews Virgo has undertaken during the move, he has remained extremely positive, and cannot wait to get playing. He says "What they have done in Europe in recent seasons has been amazing, and I would love to be a part of that."

Setting his sights even higher, Virgo is aiming to get into the Scotland setup - and he knows there is only one way of getting there, but playing well for Celtic...

In one of his last interviews for Brighton, he thanked the fans for their support, and even said he had visited North Stand Chat to look at the messages of support left for his by fans of the club. Many had described what they felt were their best moments of his career at the club, with the majority saying the extra time goal in the pouring rain against Swindon was the best.

McGhee, a former Celt himself has been preparing Virgo for the move, describing the club and the Old Firm rivalry!

The club is losing an exceptional player, and once again we would like to wish him the best of luck in his future at Celtic, and beyond...

Seagulls!
