With just one more friendly game to be played this weekend, the Albion have so far notched up just as many losses than wins. Just like the game against Colchester, the team were beaten not by just a single goal from a player with a little luck, but by a number of goals from a team that were better! Don't start panicking yet, but if we cannot even get a draw from lower league teams, how are we ever going to survive another season in the Championship League?

It looked like we were going to make a good start, however the first goal was scored by former West Brom player Sekou Berthe who is currently on trial at the club. On his first touch after just four minutes, he put Oxford ahead!

It was just over five minutes later that Oxford made it 2-0. Matt Robinson ran from his own half easily past three Brighton players straight into the back of the net - Even the Brighton fans were applauding him!

And it wasn't getting any better - ten minutes later Chris Wilmott got easily past Berthe to head in the third goal of the night. Oxford 3 - 0 Brighton.

However, it was Dean Hammond who made a start on saving the day for the Albion. He headed in Mayo's free kick, but this was to be too little too late.

The final goal from Oxford came in the second half after Guy Butters left the goal for the keeper. This resulted in a penalty, with Oxford easily getting it in the back of the net.

Mark Fish was due to play in the game, however after picking up a slight knock in Tuesday's training session it was decided that he should not take part in the game.

After our last game against Colchester, McGhee was adamant that the players were fit for the games - the poor performances are not down to lack of fitness or players that are too tired.

Despite the Albion manager saying in a recent interview that pre-season training is 'perfect' it still seems there is alot to do before we head into the new season, starting with Derby, in just over a weeks time!
