Southampton have apparently upped the price for Blayney after the Harding tribunal decided we would receive up to £850,000 for the England U21 player who recently moved to Leeds.

Southampton's goalkeeper Alan Blayney

There is currently no other news from the club, however McGhee revealed: "We are still negotiating. We have still not got an agreement. We thought we had one."

Apparently, The Saints were going to accept £25,000 for the player - this has now been trebled to at least £75,000!

Many fans however still believe this is good value for a player we need and know can do a good job - however they are angry that Southampton changed the price just because of the tribunal.

Whatever decision the club makes, we need a new keeper before the new season!
