Albion
fans could be in for an excellent day out in France next month. The club
are due to play their first friendly game against Le Havre on 7th July,
however because the pitch at their ground is being re-laid, fans are
currently unsure where the game will be held! Early indications expect the
game to be played at either
Gonfreville, or in green Cavée - we will update travel zone when we know
more information.
Brighton Fans from the well known Brighton
Fans (!) forum have been posting messages on the Le Havre message board,
and despite speaking a different language, messages seem to be going along
well between the two teams.
The fans of Le Havre have been very welcoming,
and are helping fans with any questions they may have. They also have
plans that go beyond just a football match between the two teams.
'Gusty', the site administrator on The Hac
Supporters Forum says "We would like to organise a Sunday match between
fans of Le Havre and Brighton Fans." Many fans have planned to travel back
on the Sunday, however surely there must be time to get a quick friendly
of our own in to say thanks!
For everyone that is travelling to the game in
France, you should have an excellent time. The supporters have already
invited all fans to their club house and bar!
We will keep you up to date with the latest
information on the game, and from The Hac fans in France. For more
information, see the Le Havre travel zone.
