Today, the fixtures for next season were released. We had the story online at just 4 minutes past 10 this morning! However, one change has already been made to the schedule, and it is inevitable that many more games will be changed around in the weeks to come. We will keep you up to date, so watch this space!

The first game to be amended was the home game against Hull. It was due to be played on Saturday, 17th December, however due to the agreement with the council, the club is unable to host matches on Saturday's in the run up to Christmas. Therefore, after consulting Hull, the game has been moved to Friday, 16th December.

This season's first game kicks off with an away trip to Derby County. The team will travel to Pride Park to play the Playoff losers, after they lost 2-0 away to Preston North End. Derby finished 4th in the table with 76 points, taking six from ourselves!  "It's a good one to start with," Butters said. "They will have changed their manager, and it will be interesting to see how they react to that."

Meanwhile, other interesting fixtures include the eagerly awaited matches against Crystal Palace - they are due to be played within a month of each other! The first, away at Selhurst Park is on Tuesday 18th October, and many fans are already booking the day off work to ensure they can be there! The second, to be played at Withdean is just a month later on Saturday, 19th November. Despite many of the players never having played in a game between the two teams, they are said to be looking forward them because of the electric atmosphere!

Ex-Premiership teams Norwich and Southampton will also play against The Albion this season after they were relegated, along with Crystal Palace mentioned above. We are due to play Southampton in the first game of the new year, taking place at St. Mary's on 2nd January.

The end of the season could cause us some problems if we are not already in a safe position. The last five games of the season include Southampton home, Ipswich away, Sheffield Wednesday home, Wolves away and Stoke away on the last day 30th April.

We will keep you up to date with any changes to the fixtures. We are now working hard to update the travel zone for the new season, and expect it to be ready by the middle of July.
