An
amazed Albion yesterday won the Coca Cola Win A Player Competition thanks
to loyal fan Aaron Berry of Worthing. He registered for the club every day
of the 80 days on the website.
The winner of the competition was announced at
the start of the Coca Cola Playoff between Preston and West Ham - West Ham
went on to win the game from a 57th minute goal by Ex-Brighton player
Bobby Zamora!
Berry went on to say that he would like the
team to buy a new striker, however he will back McGhee with whatever
decision he makes.
McGhee said: "We were looking at players
but this means we can actually have the budget to go and get at least one
of them."
Dick Knight and Mark McGhee were at the
Millennium stadium in Cardiff, 12 months after we played Bristol City to
win our own promotion to the Championship, to collect the cheque.
Brighton Fans voted over 26,000 times and
finished 7th in the rankings behind Leeds, who topped the votes with
203,000.
Did you know... 1,092,110 entries were
received throughout the promotion?
