Guy
Butters took advantage of the chance he had in the 81st minute, getting a
well earned equaliser. We are now unbeaten in seven CocaCola Championship
League games - an excellent achievement for McGhee and the rest of the
team. We reported in our preview on Thursday that Guy Butters had just
signed a new deal to stay at the club until 2006, and this shows the club
have made the right decision to hold on to him.
Two
minutes before half time, it looked like Leeds were in control and could
hold on until full time to grab three points, taking them nearer the play
offs. However, it wasn't to be, and after the break we came back stronger,
improving on our play in the first half.
An
what an excellent welcome for Ken Bates, watching all the action from the
directors' box for the first time since completing the take over last
week. Everything seemed to be going to plan for them, with Clarke Carlisle
scoring their first and only goal of the game.
Loan
keeper Yelldell had an excellent game yesterday, producing the 'save of
the match' to keep out Kelly's shot, which would prove vital to securing
our point from the game.
Another
game where we continued to improve throughout. If we continue to play like
we have picking up points, there will be no problem with staying up for
another season in the Championship...
