PETERBOROUGH 2 - 2 BRIGHTON (SATURDAY 1ST NOVEMBER 2003)
THIS IS THE WEBMASTERS MATCH REPORT AND PLAYER RATINGS...
Match Report from the game
This
was certainly a game of two halves! In the first half we were terrible, giving
away two poor goals. The second particularly bad after Kuipers gave the ball
away with a terrible clearance.
Leon Knight scored an equalizer after Peterborough
scored their first goal, but we couldn't pass to each other, created very
little, and looked like a team of strangers.
We thought they had scored a third right on the stroke
of half time bit it was disallowed for offside. Mark
McGhee must have wondered what he had let himself in for!
In the second half things improved a little, we looked
more solid in defence, passed the ball around a little better, and created a few
chances.
Chris McPhee made himself a good chance which he curled
just wide with his left foot. Pethick cracked a great free kick which their
goalie tipped just over the bar, and Leon Knight got his second goal to equalize
2-2.
Peterborough applied a little pressure in the last few
minutes but we defended better, kept them out, and held on for a deserved draw
in the end.
