VIEW: SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 2 - 1 BRIGHTON
We
have this special fans report from the game:
Saturday's game was
very disappointing but, as I said, I thought we got
what we
deserved. Wednesday seemed more up for it. Iwelumo was rarely given the
ball, Knight barely broke into a sweat - he'd probably worn himself
out
with all
his big talk before the match. I just wish he'd shut up and
get on
with playing football, which, as we know, he can do very well if he
sets his
mind to it.
The
biggest mystery to me was why McGhee didn't use his
remaining two substitutes in the 2nd half when it was obvious we were under siege and needed to vary things. I
see he's now come out and said he should
have done! Lee, to
be fair, probably did what McGhee asked of him, but I can
only recall one
occasion when he got to the byline and crossed it, and then it went too long and behind everybody.
Our
best effort in the 2nd half was Jones in the inside right
position hitting it with his right foot. Pressman did
well to turn it round. Either Piercy or McPhee should have been brought on for Knight, and maybe the new lad for Lee.
Anyway, it's gone
now. Onwards and upwards - hopefully.
