SWINDON
0 - 1 BRIGHTON, WEBMASTERS REPORT FROM SWINDON
Match Report from the game
The
song at the end of the game summed it all up - "One Shot One
Goal!"
Listening
to BBC Radio Wiltshire on the way home, Swindon Town Manager felt that his team
were by far the best on the day. While they did hit the post and the bar, and
Tommy Mooney missed a chance with his head when it looked easier to score.
Saying that it was a magnificent defensive performance from the Albion with
everyone fighting with their lives to get the right result. Our one shot on
target bought a goal for Richard Carpenter helped by a deflection off of one of
their defenders.
The
Swindon fans were very loud and passionate, and for one of the very few time
made more noise than us. However, if we had had a roof above our heads it would
have made a big difference but then we wouldn't have got such a good suntan from
the sweltering sunshine!

Every
player came out of the match with merit but special mention should be made to
Cullip, Butters and Ben Roberts who held everything together when we were under
severe pressure.
No
doubt Swindon will come out with all guns blazing at Withdean on Thursday but as
we haven't let in a goal for six games now, and have a very good home record we
can start looking forward to a trip to Cardiff in a fortnight (fingers
crossed!).
Saw
lots of people with John Prescott masks and 'One Site In Brighton' posters but
the protest didn't really seem to take off as people got carried away with the
general atmosphere. Hopefully the Sky cameras picked up on the posters and we
got out message across one way or another.
