Club Facts

Here's a question for you - What ground
is used to record the Sky One programme 'Dream Team'? It is apparently
Millwall's 'New Den' that Harchester United play at...
Anyway, we can all look forward to a
nice winters day spent watching Millwall FC. The ground, found in
Zampa road, can hold 20,146 fans and are known as The Lions.
There is space for around 4,000 away
fans, however the top tier of the stand is normally only used. There
is always a large police presence around and in the ground, and anyone
causing trouble will be immediately taken out.
Their average attendance last season was
10,947.
Food & Drink
[Top]
Most pubs will not allow away fans in,
however if your not wearing your colours you can probably get in most
places - we certainly did and the Millwall fans never suspected a
thing!
Your probably best however getting a
drink in the ground with all the other Brighton fans. They also serve
food if your feeling a little hungry!

Car Directions
[Top]
If you want to make your own way to
Millwall in your car, then join the M25, exiting at Junction 2, where
you should follow the A2 into London. Where the road splits into two
just past New Cross Gate Tube Station (see below), you should stay
right and continue to follow signs for the A2.
Train Information
[Top]
South Bermondsey Station is the closest
to the ground, around 5 minutes walk. A new walkway has been specially
constructed for away fans, which takes you straight from the station
to the away end, and then from the ground straight back to the
station. It is advised that you stick to this route.
We suggest getting a train from Brighton
to South Bermondsey via London Bridge. The journey will take just over
1 hour...
Bus, Tram & Underground Information
[Top]
The Eastern London Line serves two
stations in close proximity to the Millwall Ground. New cross gate
tube station is about a mile away from the ground. You can probably
walk this in around 20 minutes to half an hour. Surrey Quays is also
around the same distance.
Parking
[Top]
There is lots of street parking around
the ground, and the most popular is probably the small estate just
past the ground as your approach it along the A2.
