Club Facts
[Top]
Plymouth play at Home Park which has a
capacity of 20,134. In 2001 three sides of the ground were completely
re built, leaving just one section terraced with some seating at the
back. The club wish to complete the ground, replacing the final stand
with 6,000 seats. Away fans are placed in the all seated section in
'Barn Park End', however the allocation is normally only 1,300.
They play in green shirts and socks, with
white shorts at home, sponsored by Ginsters!
The club, then known as Argyle Athletic
Club, formed back in 1886, turning professional in 1903. They played
their first football league game in 1920. Today they are known as 'The
Pilgrims'.
Food & Drink
[Top]
As you would expect, there is lots of food
available for all fans visiting. In the ground you can find all the
usual, including pasties and the famous Chicken Balti Pie. Alcohol is
also served within the ground.
If you are coming from the train station,
try the 'pennycomequick' which is along the route you will need to
take.
The Britannia is also recommended, and is
the closest to the ground allowing away fans quick access to a pint
before the game. Across the road however is the Embassy Club, which
should be avoided by away fans!
And if you fancy a walk, around 20 minutes
away is the 'Cherry Tree' which can be found up the hill along the
main road.

the ground appear.
Train Information
[Top]
The train station is not close to the
ground, and will require around 30 minutes to walk. Otherwise you can
catch a taxi, which should be available outside the station when you
arrive.
Just turn right and walk down the hill,
continuing up this road to get to the stadium.
Travel information will be available at
least two weeks in advance of this game.
