The Hall is
split into two buildings. The oldest is Pearson's
Court, and is regarded as one of the most
picturesque of the University. It houses mainly
returning students as they complete their degree.
This website however mainly focuses on the 'New
Court'. It was built in the 1960's however was
modernised in 2001 as you will see from the pictures
throughout the site. Most Freshers are housed in
this area.
The hall is
slightly off campus, just across the road and round
the corner! The precise address is St. Patrick's
Hall (or 20 Northcourt Avenue), Northcourt Avenue,
Reading, RG2 7HB. This gives a nice feeling that
you are actually 'going home' at the end of the day
to relax after a hard days studying!
The hall has a
number of features which make it unique from the
other halls, as well as being less than five minutes
from the local shops and the University sports
centre and across the road from the University
health centre.
If you are
moving into St. Patrick's Hall, or any of the halls
of residence at Reading University then take a look
at this website. It is full of
useful information, and people are regularly asking
questions on the
FAQ page which you might find useful. We will constantly be adding more.
